It is surprising to note the praise been the President of the Republic, since these farewells n'émeuvent that he, while his record is far from unanimous. The French, especially the poorest, have paid a heavy price Chiraquie, and public debt will not be long to remind them. J. Chirac has managed this feat to convey the helplessness of the French state for a brilliant strategy. Unable to arbitrate between conflicting interests, Jacques Chirac has striven to meet them all, his only concern being to avoid displeasing to last, his only reference is the reaction of the street, opinion and polls.
This patronage was that he adopted as Mayor of Paris, turning the city into Chiraquie stronghold. The result in Paris is planning a poorly controlled, a traffic plan ineffective social segregation by district and a housing shortage, which the Parisians have found a decade after his departure from City Hall.
