Academy of civics

INVITATION

Dear Friends,

We would be honored to count you among the founding members of the "Academy of civics "(*) which is rooted in social doctrine, the Magisterium of the Church and irrefutable texts such as Saint Thomas Aquinas.
What good is creating such an institution, we say you can be, when France was left without a soul ... stripped of his security policy and de facto an independent foreign policy ... and what about her family policy, however, the basic unit of the company ... or its Ministry of Education.
One fact justifies the call that we do: in a few days we'll have to vote to choose who will lead France, which will "partner" of Europe in his state. How will the French knowingly?
"In modern democracies, which no longer refer to a higher moral law, the duty of the honest citizen is intrinsic to consider passing laws in what he believes him to be the best for society: the only its duty and the only freedom he has left, "said Prof. Jerome Lejeune.
Today, Bishop Dominique Rey, bishop of Frejus-Toulon, said that 2007 and 2008 will be two years of major elections. We are called to express our political choices and take decisions on major representative bodies of our country. However, what is at stake in the election? If it is that promote a society gradually build the common good and where man is placed in the center. For a Christian, the objective dignity of human beings is based on a vision of the appropriate person and loved by God and the unity of humankind, based on the respect for everyone ... As an institution, the Church keeps a distance from the election campaign. But we keep thinking of that memory of Benedict XVI: "The Church can not and must not take upon herself the political battle to build a society most fair as possible. It can not and should turn instead to the state. But she can not and must not remain on the sidelines in the struggle for justice. She must play her part through rational argument and she has to reawaken the spiritual energy without which justice, which requires sacrifice, can not prevail and prosper. "(Deus Caritas Est). The Pope began by noting the place of reason in political choice. The excessive weight of the moment and emotion in information media, confines often positions in a mirror, in a demagogic manipulation strategy opinion. Politics loses its credit. Confidence in participatory democracy comes out distorted.
Academy of Citizenship Studies has a mission to regularly analyze what can happen and what can be done with respect to the major challenges to come.
With you anything is possible! Together, this successful company! Knowing
can count on you, I assure you of my respectful consideration in Christo Rege per Mariam.

ELECTIONS

ELECTIONS ... whether presidential, parliamentary or local, are for many a headache!
Ah ... democracy ... when you hold us!
Should we vote?
How?
Why or why?
By what criteria?
there any "references"?
Logically there are several "candidate (s) ... many" programs "or" projects "... can you make an informed choice?
What do the designations RIGHT / CENTER / LEFT?
Why is there - and more - the "extreme"?
men have thought about these issues, since time immemorial, let us be guided ...
voter is it left or right? At first it is important not to position themselves in this trap dialectic, but rather to position themselves in relation to good and evil, just and unjust, true and false. Avoid and to the place of creative initiative there appears passivity, dependence and submission to the bureaucratic ... The
training offered by the Academy is civics and built on user intervention masterful followed by questions and answers, or even debates ... friendly ...
But training is always confronted with the Magisterium and the social doctrine of the Church! Write us and we will reply!

Loving France

On 13/03/2007 by Dandrieu Lawrence, Associate Editor Culture Current Presidential
were expecting a political record, we had a passionate declaration of love France and the French. To listen to the farewell of Jacques Chirac on Sunday night, could not help thinking of the phrase of Pierre Reverdy, "There is no love, only proof of love. "The love of France is a delicate and ephemeral flower, which blooms in the hundreds at election time, to know in the months and years following a hopeless and distressing eclipse. Because the evidence of love, it must be said that awaits them, from whatever side they come, as the young ingenue awaits the return of perjury and frivolous talker who seduced with words of eternity, never to return. Where is the love of France when he is denied the means to be herself, to protect his face and his people? Where is the love of France, when we celebrate the quest for identity of any tribe in Central Asia and that the French feel guilty when they try to assert their culture, values, history? Where is the love of France, when we refuse to give him the means of power to melt the increasingly supranational assemblies in which his voice is lost every day? Where is the love France, when the defense of the common good is abandoned in favor of an accumulation of categorical policy that prohibits the French to think of themselves as a people united, with a common destiny? "Love and do what you want," said St. Augustine. It seems they know the maxim, that our policies have included the wrong.
"Today in France, left-right division responds to values rather than a difference of management as we want to believe. Values, say, from left, permeates the very foundation of the republic, trapping, de facto, right. " Contact

President of the Republic, I'm not saying write merci.Vous, Lawrence, that "listening to the farewell of Jacques Chirac on Sunday night, could not help thinking of the phrase of Pierre Reverdy," There is no love there are only proofs of love "
It is surprising to note the praise been the President of the Republic, since these farewells n'émeuvent that he, while his record is far from unanimous. The French, especially the poorest, have paid a heavy price Chiraquie, and public debt will not be long to remind them. J. Chirac has managed this feat to convey the helplessness of the French state for a brilliant strategy. Unable to arbitrate between conflicting interests, Jacques Chirac has striven to meet them all, his only concern being to avoid displeasing to last, his only reference is the reaction of the street, opinion and polls.
This patronage was that he adopted as Mayor of Paris, turning the city into Chiraquie stronghold. The result in Paris is planning a poorly controlled, a traffic plan ineffective social segregation by district and a housing shortage, which the Parisians have found a decade after his departure from City Hall. What fate holds for us in ten years the public debt disaster left us impotence public patiently maintained by the guilty indulgence of Chiraquie? Always beware of elites who claim to buy their inertia by a supposed avant-garde aesthetic. You end up collecting and Beaubourg (a museum that does its inputs to record access Free Library of the Centre, it is not possible to verify the rest, in the library, who reads, who studies, who will meet you or held warm) and the list of entries to the ANPE.
To govern is to choose. Undoubtedly, J. Chirac has made his choice. That of short-term appeal to the French, at the risk of displeasing them long term, when we shall not all die, but when it will be no doubt.
Regards to all.

The RG on the trail of illegal Muslim schools

Many Muslim groups are organizing with state subsidies integration programs for young ... During these insertion often double the guise of "educational upgrading" of Quranic schools ... They are usually held in large apartments purchased with cash proceeds of Arabia or the Maghreb countries .... GR hunt them ...
At a time not so long ago, I worked with intelligence on these associations subsidizing these "academic support" ... I have known the problem of some eye ... Koranic school for illegal discovery, how others operate without interference ...? Some regions are engaged in the financing of a school with Muslims. The same problem exists
with places of prayer clandestinslà associations also buy apartments that become places of meetings and prayer .... some municipalities provide for token sums of meeting rooms to mosques, run by French Muslims ... At least we know who does what? But is this the right solution?
A dozen religious institutions have emerged in recent years in France, whose high school in Lille Averroes (see photo). They enroll about 600 students. (AFP / F. Lo Presti) The authorities are concerned about the opacity surrounding these structures, which often advocates an Islamic fundamentalist and recruit from the primary. The surge in Muslim schools has not occurred. Ten church schools have emerged in recent years and enroll some 600 students, especially in primary schools. The law banning conspicuous religious symbols in schools that have finally given more visibility to ongoing projects, such as Décines in labanlieue Lyon (see above). Before him, the private school Averroes was opened in Lille in 2003. However, the clandestine structures are multiplying, and tutoring for children, the content sometimes opaque. Some Muslim families retrieve their children from the system public school "thus leading to a form of communalism," it said in a note desRenseignements general in late 2005.
The Salafists, who advocate an Islamic fundamentalist, modeled on the Prophet's life, seeking to protect "their children from an early age and keep them out of the perversions of society infidel" write the RG that monitor problem with nurseries and Schools wild mounted by their acquaintances families, often at home or in local mosques. A Turkish fundamentalist movement and place her children in "Koranic boarding schools, one of which was spotted near Strasbourg. "Almost 50 000 children attend classes in Arabic and religion in structuresdont we know almost nothing," says one to the Ministry of Interior. Limited financial means
Conversely, the official Muslim schools appear to bend the game of transparency because all one day hope to work with Education to ensure financial sustainability. "The emergence of these private Muslim schools is part of a groundswell," say lesRenseignements general. The experience of our European neighbors in this respect is instructive. Thus, after the boom of the early days, the number of students plateau. In the United Kingdom as the Netherlands, education in Islamic reference, though heavily subsidized, combines only 5% of Muslims, mostly of primary school. In France, "the future will certainly see the creation of new Muslim schools," say the authors of the paper, butthe "demand is perhaps not as important as some authorities contend." Especially since the funds may be missed. "Ultimately, governments will face two challenges: that of controlling the content of teaching and the response to indulge institutions who apply to enter into a contract with the state. "
